In the forthcoming RBS Six Nations Championship,GLASGOW coach Sean Lineen was happy yesterday as Johnnie Beattie returning to the Scotland team, but the player revealed himself that he is not completely fit to participate in the first matches of Six Nations Championship.
Gwent Dragons. Lineen said: "It's unfortunate and everyone feels for Johnnie, but it won't affect that (Scotland chances]. It's good that he's going to get games at a good standard with Ayr."
Beattie himself not feeling good when told this week that he was not available for this weekend's match with Wasps, but he was more upbeat yesterday. "It is unfortunate and you realise that human error occurs in all workplaces and ours is no different," he said. "I have to look forward, and it has been great at Ayr meeting up with a lot of guys I haven't seen since age-group days, and coaches I know pretty well.
"I was sitting at home with mum and dad digesting it this week when Andy Robinson (Scotland coach] called, and he helped to give me a plan of action, which was nice of him. That starts with these cup games for Ayr and there will probably be 'A' games as well, and then aiming for the second half of the (Six Nations] tournament."
